JOB PURPOSE

The Digital Signage Sales Engineer assesses the needs of our potential customers, communicates our value drivers, demonstrates our technologies, and architects recommended solutions. This role partners with SageNet's sales team to serve as their Digital Experience expert, and partners with our engineering and operations teams on solutions that can be rolled-out at scale.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for technical relationship with customer
    • Act as subject matter expert on SageNet services and equipment offerings regarding Digital Signage
    • Establish and maintain key technical relationships with potential and existing accounts
    • Clearly communicate technical superiority of proposed SageNet solution
  • Work hand in hand with Sales and solution partners to close deals
    • Engage potential and existing customers technically to determine needs and requirements for Digital Signage
    • Create quality relationships with current suppliers and partners, while also being aware and educated on new technologies that are affecting the market space
    • Act as a source of knowledge for creating new solutions based on new products in the market and simplifying or streamlining current SageNet delivery of Digital Signage solutions
    • Team with Digital Signage leadership, Account Executives, and Program Managers to develop account delivery and technical enhancement strategies
    • Document, drive, and complete all account supporting deliverables
    • Co-develop pricing, costing, and solution delivery models appropriate to our customers and the market space
  • Lead Architect for custom solutions
    • Responsible for developing complete solutions based on knowledge of existing products and services, as well as future roadmap
    • Perform due diligence on overall solution
      • Meets technical requirements
      • Meets business requirements
      • Company risk analysis
    • Provide accurate costing and documentation of proposed custom solutions
    • Ensure operational feasibility of proposed solution
  • Lead pre-sale communications with customers
    • Work closely with Digital Signage leadership and a Digital Signage SME to develop and deliver
      • Proposals
      • Business specifications
      • RFI/RFP responses
    • Develop and deliver technical presentations to customers

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5 years’ Digital Signage technical experience supporting Digital Signage service delivery offerings to large enterprise customers and pre-sales activities
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • In-depth knowledge of Digital Signage components as well as new technologies
  • In-depth knowledge of enterprise infrastructure and Digital Signage impact in that ecosystem
  • Ability to qualify, design, and cost Digital Signage solutions
  • Ability to establish and build relationships in large IT and marketing organization with Account Executives
  • Ability and strong desire to quickly learn new concepts and ideas
  • Ability to develop creative solutions for new opportunities
  • Ability to travel (30% of the time maximum)
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Digital Signage certification(s) preferred

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • This position will report to an office and will be part of a larger team atmosphere.
  • Productively work in a hybrid work environment which consists of 2 mandatory “all-in” days, 1 variable day, and 2 virtual days. Hybrid work environment is applied per position/department and may be subject to change per changes in the Policy.

  • Be able to sit for long periods of time without problem
  • Extensive use of fingers and hands for typing
  • Extensive use of eyes to be able to analyze documents electronically and physically for long periods of time
